Edin Hodžić

Edin Hodžić, PhD, Director and Head of the Public Law Program at Center for Social Research Analitika. He is also a member of the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism, McGill University, as an Associate Fellow. Edin holds a doctoral degree in International and Comparative Law from the Institute of Comparative Law, Faculty of Law, McGill University, Montreal, as an O’Brien Fellow. Edin has obtained his Master's Degree in International Human Rights Law, with Distinction, from the University of Oxford, for which he received support through a joint scholarship scheme. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo. From 2006 to 2010, he was an editor and the Editor-in-Chief of the “Pulse of Democracy” bi-monthly online magazine published by Open Society Fund BiH. From 2002 to 2005, Edin worked as a project coordinator at Mediacentar Sarajevo, upon which he took up a post of an analyst at the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he worked until 2007. His expertise and research interests are mostly related to international law, international human rights law, and constitutional law, with a particular focus on theory and practice of collective and minority rights, legal aspects of democratic transitions and transitional justice in general. He was engaged as a consultant by a number of national and international organisations, has disagned and participated in various research projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, and has published a number of articles, books and reports on various topics in the fields of his expertise.
